Elections

Your involvement in the chapter activities is what makes it succeed towards its mission.

The nomination period for candidates will end on February 28, 2017.  All current Chapter members are eligible to vote for a candidate, and to nominate a candidate, simply click on "Elections" below.

Elections

Board membership is a chapter service opportunity to help impact how much we do to help the community.  Finding non-profit leaders and board members is vital to organizational success. This is an opportunity for you or someone you know to be a "difference maker".

We are calling for nominations for (3) Director positions.  If you have any questions about what the director positions and responsibilities entail, please feel free to contact myself or any current board member with your questions.

Once all nominations are received and confirmed, the Election Committee will prepare the election ballot.  The election ballot will be sent out to the eligible voting members, as outlined in our Chapter by-laws, by March 5, 2017.  During this time, you will be voting for the selection of your choice of candidates.  For your convenience, we will also place the names of the candidates on our website for your review.  You must use the survey that will be e-mailed to you in order to place your vote.  Voting will end at close of business on April 4, 2017.

The newly elected directors and officers will be announced at our Annual Meeting on April 11, 2017.  Please make sure you vote, and as always, we thank you for your participation in our Chapter!

*  Please note, in order to be nominated and elected o an officer position (Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President), the nominees must have served at least one term on the Board of Directors.  Detailed eligibility requirements can be found in our Chapter by-laws on our website at www.tampabaycfe.org.

Sincerely,

Kjell Purnell, President
ACFE Tampa Bay Chapter

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

I would like to welcome you to the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners 2016/2017 year!  The Chapter’s mission is to serve our local community with the interaction of our members and expansion of knowledge to improve fraud detection and deterrence. We are fortunate to have among our chapter members’ representatives of law enforcement, government, investigative services, insurance, banking, public and private accounting and auditing as well as many other types of industries. Our goal is to provide group interaction with an environment for personal and professional growth and quality programs and content at an affordable value.

Last year, the chapter had a record number of 200+ members, and we are still growing! Our monthly dinner meetings continue to grow in size and offer a great value for CPE credits! And our two day May Seminar was one of our biggest! All this growth may mean a change in our meeting locations and venues.

This year, your chapter is planning some new things. Please look for updates on our web site as we keep you informed of events and opportunities for your involvement. By participating or volunteering your expertise and becoming more involved in our chapter, you will not only make valuable industry contacts that can benefit you and your institution, but you will also sharpen your skills.

And who wants to be a member of “Chapter Of The Year?” … we do!

Are you a CFE and NOT a member of the local Chapter? Why not?  We could use your help and invite you to join today!  Click here to join NOW!

We are always looking for new ideas and increased member participation so below I have included the date for our next two dinner meetings, and I hope you can join us. Please save these dates:

Save the Date:    Chapter Dinner Meeting            Tuesday September 13, 2016
