The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is
the professional organization for fraud examiners. The mission
of the Association is to reduce the incidence of fraud and
white-collar crime, and to assist the Membership in its
detection and deterrence. To accomplish its mission, the
Association:
- Provides bona fide qualifications for
Certified Fraud Examiners through administering the
Uniform Examination for Certified Fraud Examiners.
- Sets high standards for admission,
including demonstrated competence through mandatory
continuing education.
- Requires Certified Fraud Examiners
Requires to adhere to a strict code of professional
conduct and ethics, and monitors adherence by Members.
- Serves as the international
representative for Certified Fraud Examiners to business
and government.
- Provides leadership to inspire public
confidence in the integrity, objectivity, and
professionalism of Certified Fraud Examiners.
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners,
established in 1988, is the world's premier provider of
anti-fraud training and education. A leader in the global
anti-fraud community, the ACFE has over 36,000 members,
sponsors more than 100 chapters worldwide and provides
anti-fraud educational material to over 180 universities.
Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) on six continents have
investigated over 1 million suspected cases of civil and
criminal fraud. Together with our members, the ACFE is
reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public
confidence in the value and integrity of the profession.
