The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is leading
the development of the fraud investigation profession, and the Tampa Bay Chapter is
dedicated to providing our members with the most valuable, current techniques used to
detect and deter fraudulent acts. The Tampa Bay Chapter's primary purpose is to serve the community by the promotion of improved fraud
detection and deterrence and through expansion of knowledge and the interaction of its
Members.
While there are numerous benefits of being a member of the Tampa Bay
Chapter, the most valuable is the opportunity to regularly meet with other
professionals involved with fraud investigation and prevention. The Tampa Bay Chapter
promotes the development of fraud examination professionals through regular meetings. Our
goal is to provide group interaction with an environment for personal and professional
growth and continued quality programs for our members. Guest speakers provide insight
about techniques used by the fraud examiner community to deter and detect fraud.
Established in 1992, the membership of the Tampa Bay Chapter has grown steadily
from the original 12 charter members to 175 professionals. We are fortunate to have among
our Tampa Bay Chapter members representatives of law enforcement, government,
investigative services, insurance, banking and many other types of industry.
