Welcome to The Tampa Bay Chapter of the ACFE 

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is dedicated to providing our members with the most valuable, current techniques used to detect and deter fraudulent acts. The Tampa Bay Chapter's primary purpose is to serve the community by the promotion of improved fraud detection and deterrence and through expansion of knowledge and the interaction of its Members. This is achieved by offering Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits that focus on fraud prevention, detection and deterrence  during our six annual dinner meetings.  In addition, the Tampa Bay Chapter prides itself on its commitment to the growth of future fraud examiners by offering scholarships and additional educational support to the community.

Our chapter is a success because of members like you.  Your involvement in the chapter activities is what makes it succeed towards its mission.  As a member, I'm sure you share my feelings that our cause is noble, and we have many pressing and growing demands.  Board membership is a chapter service opportunity to help impact how much we do to help the community.  Finding non-profit leaders and board members is vital to organizational success. This is an opportunity for you or someone you know to be a "difference maker" and not just sit on a board as a career advancement position.

We are calling for nominations for Director Positions, and if you have any questions about what the director positions and responsibilities entail, please feel free to contact myself or any current board member with your questions.  

We are calling for nominations for (6) director positions, which will include (3) officer positions *.

The nomination period for candidates begins today, February 12, 2015, and will end on February 25, 2015.  All current Chapter members are eligible to vote for a candidate, and to nominate a candidate, simply click here.

Once all nominations are received and confirmed, the Election Committee will prepare the election ballot.  The election ballot will be sent out to the eligible voting members, as outlined in our Chapter by-lawsby March 5, 2015.  During this time, you will be voting for the selection of your choice of candidates.  For your convenience, we will also place the names of the candidates on our website for your review.  You must use the survey that will be e-mailed to you in order to place your vote.  Voting will end at close of business on March 26, 2015.

The newly elected directors and officers will be announced at our Annual Meeting on April 7, 2015.  Please make sure you vote, and as always, we thank you for your participation in our Chapter!

*  Please note, in order to be nominated and elected o an officer position (Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President), the nominees must have served at least one term on the Board of Directors.  Detailed eligibility requirements can be found in our Chapter by-laws on our website at www.tampabaycfe.org.

Who We Are

Established in 1992, the membership of the Tampa Bay Chapter has grown steadily from the original 12 charter members to over 200 professionals from a wide range of industries throughout the Tampa Bay area.

In 2009, the Tampa Bay Chapter was recognized as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) 2009 Chapter of the Year. This is a prestigious award that recognizes our Chapter and its members as leaders in supporting the mission of the ACFE and supporting our local community. This is a global award, which is only given to one Chapter each year. Our Chapter is proud to be the recipient of such a prestigious award.
